Sweet Rosehips ~ Linen Print

€75

The Rosehips contains the seed of the rose. It is the fruit that develops from the blossoms of the wild rose plant. I’m drawn to the beneficial beauty of this medicinal plant. The Rosehips look to me like crowned heads, top heavy on a long limbed body.
This is one of my favourites as I love the ditsy quality of the finished print, so delicate and unassuming, simple yet lovely.

About Martina Scott

Martina Scott’s range of prints are created from detailed drawings from nature which are designed and perfected to be hand printed using silk screen onto Irish Linen. Living and working in Carlingford, County Louth, at the foothills of the Cooley Mountains, the line, pattern and drama of everyday life inspire Martina's work. Whether it’s cawing crows, the silence of a buzzard or dark gathering clouds, there’s always something to enthral.

Screen printed by hand in two colours onto textured, handmade paper. The paper is mounted on sturdy card measuring 32cm x 42cm. It is signed and numbered in pencil by Martina as one of a limited edition of 100 prints.
